| Play the classic spooky table
Drop a quarter and play the silver ball in Microsoft Pinball Arcade. This collection of seven licensed tables represents the evolution of pinball in America from the early 1930s through the 1990s. Top-notch DirectX-driven artwork and a wicked physics engine keep the game fast and authentic. You'll flip over the awesome flipper action -- including some of the cleanest ball trapping and counterspin we've ever seen. Ramps, bumpers, trap-holes, upper-deck action, and angular table nudging are all faithfully reproduced; but the non-adjustable tilt setting is a bit liberal. This demo is limited to a single machine, the classic 1982 haunted house table. If you're looking for realistic arcade pinball, you've found it. Reviewed on Oct 29 1998. |
